Spectator Information

There are families that have attended all 47 parades and they have watched it from the very same location every year. Attendance ranges from 5,000 to 7,500! In other words, come out early! The parade route is completely closed no later than 4:00PM, but to be safe, we invite you to bring out your lawn chairs and blankets starting at 4:30PM!

There are usually anywhere from 110 to 120 individual entries in the parade than consists of an average of three vehicles. This is a long parade! Last year, Santa left staging at 7:59PM.

Safety is a major priority to us. We are continuing to employ “French” barricades along a majority of the parade route. These are the barricades that resemble interlocking bicycle racks. The barricades interlock in such a way that results in limited access to the spectating area from the north side of Park Boulevard. There will be access points at most cross streets along the route. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but our parade has a perfect safety record when it comes to incidents involving participants and spectators and we would like to keep it that way.

Handicapped seating is available at Taylor Family Funeral Home located at 5300 Park Boulevard. The seating area is only accessible from 53rd Street via 70th Avenue.
