About Us

In the early 1990s, there was a chance that the Pinellas Park Holiday Parade would be no more. A tradition since 1972, the parade as we know it today was one of the highlights of the year in the City of Pinellas Park. In September of 1994, Celebrate Pinellas Park, Inc. was founded and incorporated to insure that the parade would continue for years to come.

That was 17 years ago and the parade continues to grow each and every year. In fact, it’s one of the few remaining hometown parades in the Tampa Bay area and is one of the largest holiday parades in Central Florida.

Celebrate Pinellas Park, Inc. is composed of a nine core volunteers that meet from August to December to organize the event; however, the amount of volunteers more than quadruples on the day of the parade! The day of the parade is one of the biggest days of the year for City of Pinellas Park when it comes to collaboration and logistics. Parade officials work alongside over 75 Pinellas Park Police officers, police volunteers and Public Works employees on the day of the event beginning at 1:00PM and continuing for the duration.

In 2010, Celebrate Pinellas Park, Inc. was approached by the Town of Kenneth City to assist them with their Fourth of July Parade. A successful collaboration the first year ended with the event being rained out, but was a huge success in 2011. Celebrate Pinellas Park, Inc. will continue to collaborate with Kenneth City for many years to come.
