While we had hoped to provide a little normalcy for the community this year as we approach the holidays, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 48th Annual Pinellas Park Christmas Parade.
We were fairly confident when the positivity rate leveled out following the return to full capacity at bars and restaurants, but now the daily COVID-19 positivity rate in Pinellas County has increased significantly and continues to trend in the wrong direction. We held out as long as possible, but providing another opportunity for the public to gather would only further delay progress. Beyond the public health concerns, many participants, including high school marching bands, are unable to join us this year. We put a lot of work and resources into this parade and being unable to produce the event our community has come to expect weighed heavily on this decision.
We will begin refunding registration fees this week and will appreciate your patience in the meantime.
